In Conversation: Rothko Chapel Director Abdullah Antepli with Resident Marlon F Hall

  • LaRucheHTX/RUBY Projects 1705 Ewing Street Houston, TX, 77004 United States (map)

Join us for an intimate evening of reflection, dialogue, and connection centered on the work of artist-in-residence Marlon F. Hall.

This special program brings together Marlon F. Hall and Abdullah Antepli, newly appointed President of the Rothko Chapel, for a live meditative conversation exploring Hall’s current exhibition and the spiritual, material, and ethical questions it holds — around memory, repair, devotion, and the role of art as a site of care.

Hall’s assemblages draw from salvaged materials, domestic remnants, and architectural fragments, creating quiet, devotional objects that hold memory, labor, and time. His practice sits at the intersection of social practice, material history, and spiritual inquiry — inviting viewers into a slower, more attentive way of seeing and being.

The exhibition is co-curated by Janice Bond and Megan Olivia Ebel.

Guests are invited to gather, listen, and reflect together in a shared space of attention and presence.
