RUBY PROJECTS is thrilled to announce its latest exhibition I, Ruby: vol 1. The exhibition celebrates a diverse group of emerging artists who inspire the growth of RUBY and contribute to the dialogue of change and challenge in the contemporary art world. The works on display have been carefully curated to showcase the unique perspectives and voices of each artist involved. The exhibition invites viewers to engage in meaningful conversations and consider new ways of seeing and being in the art world. We all begin in our own space when we first experience a gallery, an independent artist's open studio, a world renowned art museum, a street artist painting a 10 story mural, and so on. This is a Novel showcase for RUBY, a young gallery concept, as it brings in a new generation of creators who use their artworks to challenge the status quo and push for cultural transformation and representation in the art world. All of the artists featured in I, Ruby: vol 1. are not yet represented in the Houston art scene, making it a valuable contribution to diversifying visual accessibility and interest in Houston arts.
I, Ruby: vol 1. is an inspiring showcase of how art can be used as a force for trying new avenues and stimulating change, and we are honored to be part of this important conversation. The exhibition captures the expression of RUBY and reflects our past, present, and future exhibitions and interests, a testament to things to come. I, Ruby: vol 1. is a collaboration between Houston artist, Jeanne Jones, and Curator and Founder of RUBY Projects, Megan Olivia Ebel. The show will take place at The Silos, Studio #112 at Sawyer Yards in the Houston Arts District and will run from July 1st to July 30th, 2023. The gallery will maintain daily hours from 12-5pm, Thursday through Sunday and otherwise by appointment. We invite you to join us for a thought-provoking showcase that challenges our assumptions, broadens our perspectives, and celebrates the multiplicity of emerging artists.
