Tyler Deauvea Residency

Tyler Deauvea is in residence at LaRucheHTX from August 17 through October 17, 2026.

Deauvea is a self-taught, Houston-based multimedia artist working across painting, digital collage, textile collage, wood sculpture, and animation.

During the residency, he is developing new work that extends his ongoing exploration of contemporary Black iconography, world-building, and figurative storytelling—drawing on the kinetic energy of Houston culture to build increasingly layered visual narratives. Studio visits are available by appointment through RUBY Projects; exhibition dates will be announced separately.
